About this venue

The Lord Clifden is a Victorian corner pub at 34 Great Hampton Street, on the edge of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, named after a nineteenth-century racehorse. It is known for its street-art decor, its collection of vintage signage and one of the largest pub gardens in the city, with an outdoor bar and a big screen.

The pub reopened in February 2026 under new management after a restoration, having traded for several years as The Clifden. It runs weekly quiz nights, DJs in the garden every weekend and an open mic night on the last Sunday of each month. No capacity figure is published, so no bookable spaces are recorded here.
