100 Club
Basement live music club at 100 Oxford Street, trading since 1942 and central to the history of British jazz, punk and indie.
About this venue
The 100 Club is a low-ceilinged basement room beneath 100 Oxford Street, at the Tottenham Court Road end. It has been a music venue since 1942, first as the Feldman Swing Club, and has run continuously under the 100 Club name since 1964.
Its history takes in wartime and post-war jazz, the 1976 Punk Special that gave the Sex Pistols, The Clash and Siouxsie and the Banshees an early platform, and decades of indie, soul, blues and northern soul nights since. It still programmes gigs most nights, alongside dance classes and unannounced shows by large artists playing small rooms.
No capacity is recorded here, because the club publishes none of its own.
