26 Leake Street occupies three adjoining railway arches carved out of the Leake Street tunnel, the 300-metre graffiti-covered underpass that runs beneath the platforms of Waterloo station. Once a neglected service tunnel, the arches were restored into an industrial event space defined by soaring ceilings, exposed brickwork and a deliberately raw finish.
The venue is now part of the Broadwick portfolio, the operator behind Printworks, Magazine London and Drumsheds. It programmes and hosts club nights, exhibitions, fashion shows, brand activations, conferences and immersive productions, and during major football tournaments the tunnels have been given over to fan zones. A recent redevelopment included a production upgrade to Tunnel 1.
It is hired as a whole or split by arch, and is a distinct business from the other venues and bars along Leake Street.
