About this venue
53two is an independent fringe theatre and arts venue housed in Grade II* listed railway arches beneath Manchester Central, growing out of the Manchester Actors' Platform in 2016. After stints in a former car showroom and a temporary unit, the charity moved into its current fully accessible Watson Street home in 2021 — a converted industrial-style theatre and bar known for new writing, JB Shorts, the Monologue Slam, live music, comedy and community arts projects, alongside rehearsal and creative-development space for local artists.
