About this venue
Aarhus Teater (Aarhus Theatre) is a theatre at Teatergade 1 on Bispetorv in Aarhus, designed by Hack Kampmann and opened on 15 September 1900. It is a self-governing institution with its own ensemble and about 14 to 15 productions a year, and has four stages: Store Scene, Scala, Stiklingen and Studio. For conferences and events VisitDenmark lists Store Scene at up to 690 people, Scala at up to 275 and the Scala foyer at up to 270; performance seating is not given on the sources read, and the stages are said to hold about 1,200 seats in total. Its event coordinators take enquiries by email.
