ALPHABET is an audio-led concert venue and hi-fi pub on Dyke Road in central Brighton, opened in 2023. It occupies a building put up in 1867 as the Swan Downer School, which has since been a chapel, offices, several nightclubs and, from 2014, the Rialto Theatre.
The venue pairs a neighbourhood pub front-of-house with a professional sound system and light rig, and programmes live music and DJ sets across indie, folk, electronic and hip hop. It is walk-in during normal hours and available for exclusive hire outside them.
