About this venue
The amphitheatre in Källparken, in the Salabacke district of Uppsala, is a municipal open-air stage in a neighbourhood park. Uppsala kommun lets it out to organisers of smaller performances and music events; the hirer applies to the police for the permit. The stands are stone steps and grass, the stage area is about 800 m², and the audience capacity is given as 800 to 1,200 depending on the event. Power is available from three 10 A, three 16 A and one 32 A outlets. A 2017 culture committee paper describes the renovated amphitheatre (new granite steps, wooden stage floor suitable for dance, lighting) with seating planned for 1,066 and a summer programme run by the culture department.
