Arena, Moss kirke- og kultursenter

Arena occupies a prayer house from 1890 in Kirkegata in central Moss, restored and reopened as Moss kirke- og kultursenter on 8 March 2008 by the then mayor Paul Erik Krogsvold. The house works as a meeting place for church, culture and community life at once. Alongside baptisms, weddings, funerals and confirmation — it takes around 60 per cent of the town's confirmands — it hosts concerts and cultural events, seminars, choirs and bands, groups for families with babies, social gatherings for older residents and meetings for local organisations. It runs its own cultural programme and works closely with other cultural actors in Moss, with tickets sold through TicketCo and Ticketmaster. The building also contains Mariakapellet, a chapel for prayer, and Tårnrommet in the tower, and houses the parish offices.
