Arenan

Arenan is run by Karlstad municipality in the Bibliotekshus (Västra Torggatan 26) and presents cinema, live-on-screen events, music and theatre; it is also a Folkets Hus och Parker member and has a page for hiring the venue. Arenan is closed from 5 May 2026 while the library building is renovated, and the municipality says it will reopen in 2028; this is a temporary closure, not a permanent one. Until then, enquiries are referred to other bookable municipal premises. It is a different building from Löfbergs Arena, which is the hockey arena at Norra Infarten 79. Capacity and hire terms were not published on the pages checked.
