About this venue

Artilleriverkstedet is an industrial hall built in 1917 on Karljohansvern, the old naval base at Horten. The building has kept its workshop character and now works as a cultural and event venue — as the house puts it, an old workshop comes back to life every time the stage lights go up. Storsalen, the main hall, takes up to 800 for concerts and 400 for seated events, and handles ceremonies, dinners and dancing. Lillesalen is the smaller room, used for more intimate performances and gatherings. The industrial scale of the building also suits trade shows and exhibitions: vehicles can be driven in, and there is a stage. Alongside concerts the venue hosts weddings, conferences, company events, anniversaries, Christmas parties and festivals, with packages priced per head.
