About this venue

Auktionsverket Kulturarena occupies the late-19th-century premises built for Göteborgs Auktionsverk on Tredje Långgatan, described as Europe's oldest building made specifically for auction activity, and has been used as an event arena for private and public events since 2014. The 1,000 m2 floor is centred on the Auktionssalen, the largest hall, which connects to the Lobbybaren (a bar for up to 200), the Biblioteket (an intimate bar with open fireplace and lounge furniture) and a balcony overlooking the hall. It is let for conferences, company parties, fairs, launches, sample sales, vernissages, weddings, club nights and Christmas dinners, with a quote returned after an enquiry form, and it also stages public events such as the Ostfestivalen cheese festival in October 2026, a jazz festival in 2025 and a book-fair programme launch. Own alcohol is not permitted because the venue holds the licence. The venue is part of the Göteborgsfamiljen group.
