Badisch Bühn

Badisch Bühn is a Mundart theatre that performs in the Baden dialect. It was founded on 27 March 1982 at the Grüner Baum in Rüppurr and moved in August 1983 to its present home, the former "Engel" in Grünwinkel, opening there with the premiere of "De Brigandebrunne". The company has staged commissioned plays for the city's 275th and 300th anniversaries and has been broadcast on SWR television. It is run as a non-profit company, Badisch Bühn gGmbH. A partner restaurant serves food and drinks before and after performances. The season runs in blocks of several weeks per production, and tickets are sold by phone and through Reservix.
