Barnens scen

Barnens scen is run by the non-profit association Barnens scen and stands in the large round house in the south of Folkets Park in Malmö, a building that used to be a dance pavilion. Its first performance was in April 1994. It presents theatre, circus, dance, film, music and literature for children, as well as adult lectures and workshops; the repertoire in October 2026 includes the circus-theatre piece Vill du komma på mitt kalas? (ages 4-8), the puppet theatre Toutôtour - Round and Round (ages 1.5-6) and the circus show Monster och annat kul. The foyer opens 15 minutes before weekday performances, and at weekends, when there is also café service, 30 minutes before. Prams are not allowed inside for fire-safety reasons and can be locked up outside. There are two toilets in the foyer, one of them an approved accessible toilet; the hall has no hearing loop, so visiting groups bring one when needed.
