Barrikaden

Barrikaden is a concert venue in the basement of the building at the top of Hausmanns gate that Oslo Boligaksjon occupied in 1999. It is run by a self-governing collective and operates independently of Hausmania, the culture house across the street, despite the two often being mentioned together. The programme is deliberately uncommercial and rooted in the harder end of the underground: punk, hardcore, crust, oi!, grind, metal and neighbouring genres make up most of the calendar, with occasional ska, electronic and hip-hop nights alongside.
