About this venue
Bjørnsonhuset opened in 2002 in Molde as a combined cultural house and conference centre, integrated into the Scandic Seilet hotel on the waterfront, which runs its day-to-day operation.
The main hall seats 772 including the space given over to lighting and sound positions, and can be divided into three smaller halls. The building was designed for flexibility: modern and adaptable technical equipment, configurable stage solutions, movable amphitheatre sections and considered acoustics.
It takes concerts, touring productions and conferences, and is one of the venues used by the Bjørnson Festival, Molde's international literature festival.
