Blårock Cafe

Blårock Cafe has been on Strandgata in Tromsø since January 1991, and calls itself the only thoroughly committed rock'n'roll place in northern Norway. It works as a pub, a burger restaurant and a live music venue at once. The walls carry decades of accumulated rock memorabilia — signed posters and records from the likes of The Hives, Nirvana and Elvis Presley — alongside a section given over to the poster artist Frank Kozik. Concerts and live performances run regularly, with rock and its neighbouring styles the focus. The kitchen builds its burgers on Angus beef from the local supplier Mydland and bread from the Tromsø bakery Steike Godt. Open from 11:30 daily, until 02:00 on weekdays, 03:30 on Fridays and Saturdays, with Sundays from 13:00.
