Boiler Shop occupies the Victorian boiler house of Robert Stephenson's locomotive works in the Stephenson Quarter, a few minutes from Newcastle Central Station. Exposed brickwork, iron beams and high ceilings have been kept, and the building now works as a single large multidisciplinary arts and events space.
The main room takes touring gigs, club nights, comedy, exhibitions, street-food markets, conferences and weddings, and is licensed until 3am. A mezzanine overlooking the floor can be used as a breakout room, drinks reception or VIP area.
