About this venue
Box is a grassroots live music bar and club at 431 Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, trading as Box Glasgow. It opened in late 2006 and has been a fixture of the city's live scene ever since, winning Best Live Music Venue at the Scottish Bar and Pub Awards in 2022. The stage sits in the venue's street-facing window on Sauchiehall Street.
Box puts on live music seven nights a week with free entry and a 3am curfew, giving new and emerging artists a stage alongside weekly resident function bands, an Open Mic Night and an Open Stage Jam. Resident DJs play at weekends. Acts who have played the room include Coheed and Cambria, Five Finger Death Punch, Vukovi, The Lafontaines, Fatherson and Kobi Onyame.
The stage was rebuilt in 2019/2020 with a new QSC PA system and an Allen and Heath Qu-24 digital desk, run by an in-house sound engineer who also provides a full backline for touring and unsigned bands.
