Blackweir Fields
Outdoor event site
Large riverside sports field at the northern end of Bute Park, alongside the River Taff. Used year-round for cricket, football and rugby, and hired for community events, fireworks and major outdoor concerts — since 2025 the Blackweir Live series promoted by Depot Live and Cuffe and Taylor. The site is covered by Bute Park's premises licence; there is no on-site power, water or sewerage, and vehicle access is limited by a 40-tonne single-lane bridge.
