About this venue
Bygningen is a culture house in central Vejle, entered through the PaladsPassagen restaurant area. It opened in 1920 as the trade unions' assembly building and has been owned by Vejle Municipality since 2001; the foundation Vejle Kulturservice has run it since 2010. The programme includes concerts, talks and comedy, and the house also hosts workshops, association events and a student house. Three event rooms can be hired: Spillestedet (a stage with sound system and bar, 150 standing or 100 seated at café tables), Lille Sal (150 standing, 130 seated in rows) and Store Sal (600 standing, 320 seated in rows, with a balcony and a stage). Five meeting rooms hold 10 to 30 people. Food and drink must be ordered through the house café. The house has a lift and accessible toilets.
