About this venue
Officially named Park Community Arena, this £14m multi-purpose sports arena opened in October 2023 within the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park on the site of the former Don Valley Stadium. Built by Canon Medical Systems, which holds naming rights until 2033, it is the UK's first carbon-neutral community arena, combining three full-size basketball courts (seating 2,500 for basketball, up to 3,000 overall) with an integrated medical diagnostics centre offering NHS-linked CT, MRI and X-ray scanning. It is the home of the Sheffield Sharks and Sheffield Hatters professional basketball teams.
