About this venue

Carls sits on Trondheimsveien at Carl Berners plass in Oslo and runs several things at once: a café and bar, a restaurant serving pizza daily, a wine bar, outdoor seating, and an event room called Storstua. Storstua is where the programme happens — stand-up nights such as Humoretaten Live, club nights, live podcasts and format shows like the matchmaking event Pitch-A-Friend and the panel series Hennes Verden. During major football tournaments the venue turns over to screening the matches. The restaurant opens Tuesday to Friday from 16:00 and at noon on weekends, and is closed on Mondays. Rooms are hired out for private functions through the venue's own rental service. Carls marked its second anniversary in January 2024.
