About this venue
Chetwynd Deer Park is a historic 200-acre private park of woodland and open spaces beside the 20-acre Chetwynd Pool, with a Newport, Shropshire address. It is the home of the Newport Show, run by the Newport and District Agricultural Society, which was named Best Rural or Farming Event of the Year in 2025. The park hosts events all year, including a 10 km run, falconry days, team-building days, sporting events and vintage tractor rallies.
The park, the forest area and the purpose-built Lodge are available for private hire, from birthday parties, anniversaries, christenings and wakes to corporate events, meetings, exhibitions and music events. The Lodge holds up to 60 people indoors and has Wi-Fi, a kitchen for hot and cold drinks and light catering, and a digital projector for presentations. There is plenty of free parking. Schools and youth organisations also use the site for outdoor education.
