About this venue
City Halls is Glasgow Life's concert hall complex on Candleriggs in the Merchant City, opened in 1841 and refurbished and reopened in 2006. The Grand Hall is the principal auditorium and the Glasgow home of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra; the adjoining Old Fruitmarket is a galleried Victorian market hall used for standing gigs, ceilidhs, banquets and receptions. Smaller hireable spaces are the Recital Room, the Club Room and the Candleriggs Bar.
