About this venue

Club Gustav occupies the basement of the Amerikalinjen hotel at Jernbanetorget in central Oslo and works as a dedicated jazz room. It has its own entrance off the street, a stage, a current-generation lighting and sound rig, and kitchen facilities so events can be catered. The programme is live jazz with Norwegian and international artists. Recent seasons have been built around Felix Peikli & Friends, working through tributes to the jazz canon — New Orleans traditional, bossa nova, the Broadway songbook, cool jazz, the Rat Pack repertoire and Billie Holiday. Concerts run in two sittings, with doors at 19:00 and 21:30 and music half an hour later, leaving time to be seated and order. The room is also hired out for private functions.
