About this venue
Club Schilli first opened in autumn 1983 on the grounds of the Obere Donaubastion, Ulm's former fortress bastion on Schillerstraße. It was founded through volunteer work and is still run entirely by volunteers. After making way for the city's renovation works in summer 2001, it reopened in its new rooms at Schillerstraße 1/9 in spring 2002. The club aims for a varied programme with a particular focus on the local music scene and emerging artists, and runs a FLINTA* festival and workshop series.
Its own rooms are separate from the neighbouring ROXY culture centre on the same bastion site. The autumn 2026 programme includes touring hardcore and punk bands (Kochkraft durch KMA, 7 Years Bad Luck), a solo show by Tim Vantol and an electro-pop double bill.
