Commune is a creative bar in Liverpool's Fabric District, tucked down the side of an old printing warehouse that was formerly home to the online radio station and events organisation Melodic Distraction. The site was once the vicar's residence attached to St Mary Magdalene's.
It runs gigs, film screenings, exhibitions and other events out of a small conservatory and a courtyard, holding around 100, and is intended as a space for locals, musicians and artists to gather. Its own listings for September 2026 give a fair sample of the range: a daytime takeover by a local DJ collective, a bill of drone, noise and power electronics, a night showcasing women and non-binary DJs across house, UK garage, bass, breaks, jungle and techno, and a house-music afternoon session. Tickets are sold through Resident Advisor and Skiddle at low prices.
The bar is open Thursday to Sunday, 3pm to midnight.
