Crown Inn

The Crown Inn on Market Street in Oakengates, Telford, dates from 1835 and has three distinct drinking areas and a sun-trap courtyard. It is a Good Beer Guide pub known for its range of guest ales from 14 cooled hand pulls, with real cider, mild and stout or porter usually on, and more than 21,000 different ales served since 1995. It is Cask Marque accredited and a CAMRA Golden Award winner. The pub runs a busy events calendar: live music on many Saturday nights, the Telford Comedy Club on the second Tuesday of each month, an open mic night on the last Thursday, a quiz on the last Sunday, and a board games club twice a month. It hosts the Telford Beer Festival on the first weekend of May. There is a real fire, fresh bar snacks, a large free car park with the bus station behind, and Oakengates railway station is about four minutes' walk away.
