About this venue
Dansens Hus is Norway's national stage for dance. Since 2008 it has occupied a factory building from 1873 at Vulkan by the Akerselva in Oslo, renovated and rebuilt into a theatre.
There are two stages. Hovedscenen takes up to 450 people, though it is most often run with its standard tiered seating for 317. Studioscenen holds a maximum of 150, usually set with tiered seating for 76.
Alongside its dance programme the house hires out rooms for meetings and conferences.
