About this venue
Das Wohnzimmer is a lounge bar beneath the Wartburg, the off-site stage of the Hessisches Staatstheater on Schwalbacher Straße, opened at the end of January 2015 under the motto "Come as a guest and leave as a friend". Its décor borrows from the Parisian Belle Époque, an English gentlemen's club and a Berlin neighbourhood bar. The changing programme for all ages takes in live performances by established and up-and-coming musicians, improvised theatre, karaoke and salsa evenings, Bundesliga and other live sports broadcasts, and club nights with in-house DJs at weekends. It also has a kitchen, hosts company parties and can put together a band for private events.
