About this venue

Dattera til Hagen sits on Grønland on Oslo's east side and works as bar, café and cultural house at once. It spreads over two floors, with a backyard that opens in summer. Through the day and evening it serves drinks and food — sandwiches, tapas, salads, pasta and burgers — and at weekends DJs play on both floors. Beyond that the house programmes concerts, improv theatre, stand-up and debates, and it is one of the venues used by the Oslo World festival. The music profile is deliberately broad but has a centre of gravity: electronica in its various forms, alongside reggae, disco, funk, pop, folk, jazz and soul.
