About this venue
Den Lilla Teatern is a small guest-performance theatre at S:t Persgatan 22 in Uppsala, with a programme for preschools, schools and families as well as weekend shows. The auditorium seats at most 100 (limited for fire safety) on a raked, removable-chair gradin; it is a black box with a relatively low ceiling (2.7 m at lowest), and the public areas have been adapted for accessibility since 2009. The theatre is available for hire on a half-day or longer basis, primarily to cultural events and smaller conferences; private parties are not accepted. Hire includes stage and auditorium, foyer, workshop area, kitchen and two toilets, basic stage lighting and one lighting desk, with sound equipment also offered; the theatre does not handle marketing or ticket sales for hired events. Access is affected by railway-crossing works on S:t Persgatan, planned to continue until 2027.
