About this venue
Derby Arena is a multi-use sports and events venue on Royal Way at Pride Park, run by Derby City Council. At its heart is a 250 m indoor timber cycle track, built by the German track specialists Velotrack to a geometry similar to the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, alongside sports courts, a gym, studios and Café 42.
The arena doubles as one of Derby's largest event spaces. Its main space holds up to 5,000 people, seated or standing, and is hired for events, celebrations, ceremonies, trade fairs, exhibitions, product launches, conferences and dinners, backed by a dedicated events team with in-house catering and technical staff. A suite of multi-purpose rooms takes 10 to 65 people for meetings, training, breakouts and hospitality.
The public programme mixes national sport with entertainment: autumn 2026 listings include table tennis and trampoline league finals, an IHF Women's World Championship qualifier, a Lloyds National Track Series round, tribute concerts such as The Ultimate Classic Rock Show, UK Pink Floyd Experience, ELO Again and Nashville at Heart, The Dubliners Encore stage show, and a Christmas pantomime. The arena has a Changing Places toilet.
