About this venue
Det Andre Teatret opened in September 2011 in the old Lilleborg factory premises in Ivan Bjørndals gate at Bjølsen in Oslo, and is Norway's theatre for improvisation — the largest of its kind in the country and for a long time the only one.
The auditorium holds around 165. Programming runs year-round: the theatre's own improv formats, among them Maestro Impro and Gorillateater and improvised sitcoms, alongside international and Norwegian guest performances. It also runs courses and workshops for adults and children, at the theatre and elsewhere.
There is a theatre bar with outdoor seating attached.
