About this venue

Draken Live is a live stage at Järntorget and Heurlins plats in Gothenburg, in a building that opened on 26 April 1956 as the Draken cinema (Cinerama from 1960) and stopped regular film showings in 1995. It is the festival centre during the annual Göteborg Film Festival. Since autumn 2023 it has been run by Krall Entertainment as Draken Live, a venue for concerts, shows and performances; the current event list on its site includes a gospel choir, a comedy duo, a dance-band and tribute concerts. Bookings for live performances, quotes and accessibility questions go to the venue by email; film screenings and conference bookings are handled by a separate contact. The site has pages for production companies, food and drink, accessibility and hotel packages. Capacity is not stated on the pages found.
