About this venue
Dramaten, the Royal Dramatic Theatre, is Sweden's national stage for spoken theatre. The main stage (Stora scenen), opened in 1908, seats 720 on stalls and three tiers, and the smaller stage (Lilla scenen) seats about 300. Both have full technical equipment. As a working theatre with its own programme, Dramaten only lets rooms to suitable events such as award ceremonies, book fairs and launches, and does not let to private events such as weddings, funerals or birthdays. A board room next to the costume workshops is also available.
