About this venue
Drammen kulturhus opened in 2023 in the former Brodahls Gummivarefabrikk (rubber factory) at Union Brygge, directly across from Union Scene. The venue was founded with the aim of creating an accessible, low-threshold cultural space for the whole local community, with a particular focus on young adults underserved by the established venues. It is centrally located, within walking distance of both the bus terminal and the train station.The venue hosts around 200 events a year: concerts, debates, theatre, quiz nights, a film club, a book club, a poetry club, and open acoustic evenings. Regular programming includes concert nights by Elvebyen Bluesklubb. The venue has its own bar and is generally open only during events.
