About this venue
The EinTanzHaus is a venue for contemporary dance and performance art in the Trinitatiskirche, a listed church in the G4 block of the Quadrate, converted through a collaboration between artists, the city and the church; it celebrates ten years on 30 September 2027. Church pews became audience seating and a stage floor heating system warms the performances. It works as a dance and production house, a guest-performance and festival venue (including its UND JETZT? dance festival), a residency and teaching space and a multi-purpose cultural room, with open formats that invite people to dance on the stage or the forecourt and participatory projects with local groups. Guest artists have included Rimini Protokoll, Alexandra Bachzetsis and Dimitri de Perrot. Since 2023/24 it shares a pay-what-you-decide ticket system with Theaterhaus G7 and zeitraumexit. Access is by a gentle ramp, the stage is also reached by ramp, and there are wheelchair spaces and an accessible toilet. In summer the restaurant opposite serves the forecourt as a theatre canteen.
