About this venue
Ersboda Folkets Hus, nicknamed Umeå's little culture house in the middle of Ersboda, is an independent non-profit association offering cultural experiences, adult education and entertainment. It rents out conference and event rooms with fibre and wireless internet and hearing loops in the larger rooms; lunch and coffee can be arranged. Valhall is the large divisible hall with a pull-out stand, a 6 by 8 metre stage with sound and lighting, hearing loop and projector, taking 150-300 depending on layout. Skeppet takes 30 with a projector, Ekan is a smart meeting room for 8-10, and Folkan Restaurang and Café takes up to 70 with projector and sound system. Parking costs 35 SEK per day. The programme lists dance evenings (Friday and Saturday dances at 250 SEK, afternoon Galaxen dances at 180 SEK), day and family cinema, music entertainment, theatre and a circus show, and the house also holds a library and a cinema. Hire prices are not published; contact the venue for prices.
