Exhibition Park
Public park off Claremont Road that doubles as Newcastle's main outdoor concert and festival site.
About this venue
Exhibition Park is a public park on the south-eastern corner of the Town Moor, entered from Claremont Road. Laid out for the 1929 North East Coast Exhibition, it holds a boating lake, sports areas, playgrounds and a skatepark, and the surviving Palace of the Arts now houses Wylam Brewery and its own events space.
The park is also Newcastle's principal outdoor events site, hosting large-scale summer concerts and festivals alongside community events such as the Newcastle Mela and Northern Pride. It is managed by Newcastle City Council, which took the city's parks back in-house in 2025.
