About this venue
Frimis has been a meeting place for entertainment and meetings since the late 1800s, beautifully placed on Frimurareholmen with Örebro Castle as a backdrop and the Svartån river curling around the island. Today it is run by Laweka Group and combines live concerts, nightclub nights, student parties, dinners, a riverside garden in summer, Christmas buffets and conference and party hire. The rooms can be adapted from small private and company events up to large concerts, meetings and parties for as many as 900 people; the operator says it can arrange more than 50 types of meetings and events, including half-day conferences, seated dinners and weddings. Recent and announced concerts are standing shows with an 18 age limit, mainly rock and metal touring acts. The garden is closed for the 2026 season and the nightclub was open to 3 October.
