Fryshuset Malmö

Fryshuset's Malmö meeting place is a free activity house for young people in Folkets Park, with its entrance on Norra Parkgatan 2A, on the outside of the park. The organisation has worked in Malmö since 2006 and has two main meeting places, this one and one in Seved. The premises hold a youth-run café, a culture stage and music studio, dance classes, skate and basketball, and young people can take on their own projects such as music events. A central part is the young concert stage: depending on demand it puts on one to four concerts a month where young artists and bands can sign up to perform for free, reaching hundreds of young music fans every month. The meeting place is open Tuesday to Friday 15:00-21:00. It is run by the non-profit Fryshuset organisation; this is the Malmö branch, not the Stockholm Fryshuset, and it is a separate place from Moriska Paviljongen (Norra Parkgatan 2). Hire of the premises is not advertised.
