About this venue
Gjøvik Kultursenter, also known as Gjøvik Kino & Scene, sits along the Hunnselva river in central Gjøvik, co-located with the Quality Hotel Strand (Nordic Choice). Its main hall, Sal 1, dates from 1960 and has since been modernised with comfortable seating for 500 and a stage with a good technical standard; Riksteatret and Teater Innlandet use it regularly for productions in Gjøvik, alongside conferences, cinema and stand-up. Sal 2 (120 seats) and Sal 3 (75 seats) are dedicated cinema halls with Dolby Atmos sound and 3D capability. Comedians such as Bård Tufte Johansen and artists such as Odd Nordstoga have performed here.
