About this venue
The Gostner Hoftheater was founded in 1979 and is Nürnberg's oldest independent theatre house. With its flexible ensemble it presents six of its own productions each season, alongside youth theatre and theatre education. The main premises on Austraße in Gostenhof seat 82.
The same building houses the theatre bar LOFT with a courtyard, which hosts guest performances of dance, music, drama and literature, cabaret evenings, readings, concerts and changing art exhibitions. The LOFT is let for company events and private parties of up to 70 people.
Since 1998 the theatre has also run the larger Hubertussaal in Gibitzenhof (Dianastraße 28) as its second stage, listed separately.
