Grimstad Kulturhus

Grimstad Kulturhus operates primarily as a cinema at Storgaten 33 in central Grimstad, with specialised screenings such as baby cinema, knitting cinema and themed afternoon-tea events. It also houses Grimstad Jazzklubb and Grimstad Filmklubb, extending its programming beyond film into live jazz and film-club screenings. The building holds four halls available for hire: Catilina, East Agder's largest cinema hall with 325 seats, also used for theatre, concerts and conferences; Pan, rebuilt in 2024 as a multi-use hall seating 76 (cinema) or up to 98 (theatre/concert configuration), fitted with a Meyer Sound Constellation system and a Steinway grand piano; Vesle Hallvard, a 42-seat cinema/conference room; and Galleriet, a second-floor function room for up to 90 guests with its own kitchen and exhibition walls.
