Bluebox

Bluebox is described by its operators as "studentenes storstue i Grimstad" (the students' living room in Grimstad) - a venue run by students, for students, on the UiA Grimstad campus. It opened in August 2010 and has since been a regular tour stop for major Norwegian touring artists (including Team Me, Das Body and Lars Vaular), alongside stand-up comedy, live podcast recordings, parties and social events. The house has two public rooms: the intimate Lillekroa and the larger Storsalen. The weekly programme includes Bluebox Quiz nights, often run in partnership with student organisations and study-programme associations such as Grimstad Studentsamfunn (GSS), which is one of the student groups that regularly hosts events at the venue. The house is run day-to-day by student committees covering different areas of operation, and is operated by Studentsamskipnaden i Agder (SiA).
