About this venue
HALLE 45 is an event venue in a listed brick industrial hall on the historic site of the Alte Waggonfabrik in Mainz-Mombach. The site's history runs from a court saddlery founded in 1777, through railway carriage manufacturing and use as a tank works from 1951 to 1994, to the Phönix-Halle event venue from 1998 to 2015; after a campaign to save the building it reopened as HALLE 45 in August 2015. The main hall has 4,365 m² of event space for up to 2,000 people and can be divided into up to nine rooms; four further locations across the road add around 2,000 m², including the Auktionshaus (the site's oldest building), the Turbinenhalle, the Motorenhalle and Kesselhaus (being modernised until 2027) and the Werkzentrale. The programme mixes concerts, comedy, parties and trade fairs: autumn 2026 and early 2027 include the hard rock band The New Roses, Hazel Brugger, a Rammstein tribute show, Olaf Schubert, a wedding fair and education fairs. The venue is also let for corporate events, conferences and galas.
