About this venue
Hamar kulturhus stands on Torggata in the middle of Hamar and runs to some 15,000 m², with around 150 rooms and halls of every size — some 30 of them rehearsal rooms — alongside a cinema and gallery spaces.
Kirsten Flagstad-salen is the main auditorium: 486 seats, or around 700 standing on the floor with a further 172 seated in the upper amphitheatre. Klubbscene Rolf Jacobsen is the club room, taking 180 standing or up to 96 seated. Multisal Pauline Hall is a flexible 170 m² space, and the house has purpose-built rooms for particular uses — Korpssal Ole Edvard Antonsen at about 180 m² for loud music and concerts up to 100, Korsal Ragnar Røgeberg at about 120-140 m² for choral music and concerts up to 75, Dansesal Alf Prøysen at about 140 m², and Teatersal Hulda Garborg at about 120 m².
The building takes concerts, theatre, exhibitions, meetings and conferences.
