Georgian treasure house and estate north of Leeds, run by Harewood House Trust, hired for dinners and receptions indoors and large outdoor concerts in the grounds.
Harewood House is a Georgian country house between Leeds and Harrogate, designed by John Carr with interiors by Robert Adam and furniture by Thomas Chippendale, set in Capability Brown parkland. It is run as a visitor attraction by Harewood House Trust, an independent charitable educational trust (registered charity 517753), and holds one of the best private Renaissance art collections in the UK.
The house is hired out of hours for private events: the Gallery seats about 90 for dinner, the State Dining Room 32, and the Terrace takes receptions of up to 180 with views over the lake, with the Stewards' Room, Billiard Room and Terrace Cafe used for smaller groups. The grounds host large outdoor events, weddings, filming and seasonal programmes such as Magic at the Mansion at Christmas.
