Hep Cat Club

The Hep Cat Club is a swing dance school with its own studio on Viktoriastraße, next to Augsburg's main station. It teaches Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Blues, Solo Jazz and street dance, and also has studios in München and Erding. In Augsburg it runs events and festivals including the Augsburg Balboa and Shag Festival, Sweet Bal Weekend and XmaSwing. In summer it leads the free open-air Swing in der City sessions on Königsplatz. Its open day in November 2026 included live music from a swing band as part of the Riegele Honky Tonk. The studio is also let as an event space for weddings, company events, training and private parties. It covers about 580 square metres in three rooms of 80 to 450 square metres. The rooms are air-conditioned and have sound, lighting and seminar equipment.
